i just feel like there's some weird defensemen hate here. I'm not just saying that because my team has two high end d men that are majorly slighted on this list, I also feel provorov should be way higher, and same with werenski. McAvoy was just the best player for a team that won 15 games in the playoffs. On the nights that he wasn't the best guy, Carlo typically was. a 25 minute a night all around d man that's shutting down and buzzing around creating offensive is just so far above a winger that managed a mere 28 even strength points. You have that guy number 2! Pettersson? Seriously? seriously? the 25 point phenom? Then we have puljujarvi who can't even stick in the league over Konecny? is that a joke?
I think this list is all sorts of bad. Me, I always gravitate towards d men as I think they have by far the biggest impact on a game, I'm going McAvoy and Point as the 1a, 1b (don't care who you pick first). From there it gets cloudy with the Marners and the Rantanens. I'm putting provorov over the likes of kyle connor. Or is this just the order of what you think the highest AAV will be? I guess that would make some sense.
