Yeah I wish the league had more high level player trades just like the NFL and NBA. Hall for Larsson, Jones for Johansen and Subban for Weber were fun when they happened. I want to see Laine for Werenski next

If I’m WPG I take this trade and run.

Would be fun to see more trades happen and offer sheets and all that.

That would be epic, but all you would get here is backlash. Apparently there are about 60 top 10 Dmen in the league that could only be moved for mcdavid.

Really, three seasons of Lindholm, an aging Henrique for 4 more seasons who might be a good 3C at best at this point of his career and a protected 1st for Laine sounds good to you?

I think if they switched Henrique for Steel/Zegras/Lundestrom/Comtois thered be a discussion and possible deal

Kase's injury history is hard to factor into any trade for him. Kase healthy is worth Faulk plus McKeown, but Kase as is probably isn't worth more than what you have here.

I think you've overvalued Winnipeg's position with Laine; I think it's closer to the Trouba scenario from last year. So Laine for Lindholm or Henrique plus the first is an acceptable range. Kulikov is more of a minus than a plus; I think you'd have to substitute Logan Stanley for Kulikov to get all three elements from Anaheim.

If they trade Laine they should go for a futures package and start tearing it down a bit and do a mini rebuild, Wheeler should be the next guy gone.

tbh I thought Henrique had 2 years and the pick was unprotected. Lindholm is an unreal dman. I think if they swapped Henrique for steel it works.

Trouba was traded for a middle/late first plus a potential top-4 defenseman. Anaheim's early first plus Lindholm is adequate compensation for Laine, and Kulikov is a minus, not a plus.

I think it works well for both sides. Henrique would fall to 3c which would be a waste. This frees up the log jam at centre. Taking on kulikov for a year would be easy.

Jets would get the space needed to sign Connor and a big upgrade on the left allowing them to run

Both trades are insane overpays by the ducks, lindholm>Laine, and Kase>Faulk (though yes ik that trade was rumored, but it'll be a massive L for ANA if it goes through)

Lindholm is Anaheim's best defenseman. Laine for Lindholm, a 6-15 first-round pick and one of the players you mentioned would bring out a mob with torches and pitchforks. How in a sane universe is Laine worth Lindholm-more than Trouba?

Steel would be a no go for the ducks. Personally I wouldn’t move comtois. Zegras or lundestrom could certainly be added. I think Henrique could certainly do well in Winnipeg but I get the age idea.

Apparently you don't know who Winnipeg's current #2C is. He's more expensive than Henrique (although by very little), was 15-26=41 to Henrique's 18-24=42, is signed for exactly the same term, and is two years older than Henrique. If Trouba was worth a late first plus Neal Pionk, then Laine isn't worth more than Henrique plus what is probably a lottery first. The thought that Lindholm would even be talked about in this trade is a pathetic, ignorant joke.

Yes, for Lundestrom and a first, we'll take Kulikov off your hands plus solve your Laine problem.

I’m not very high on zegras, with the centre depth that you have coming up I’m surprised they even picked him.

No, thanks, that's a wild overpayment for a player we don't need as much as we need a very good RhD.
