They still have Greiss and, of course, people forget that robin lehner was a suicidal alcoholic before the isles got a hold of him

Any offer sheet at the second tier I think the Leafs consider at 2-1st a 2nd and a 3rd

Why we jabbing Lehner when he’s a main reason for this teams past success, Varma is 31 I believe and Griess is 33, y’all don’t got a goalie soon chief.

Well you said they need a goalie but really they’re just in the same boat as last season when they had Lehner. Gotta give varly a chance first

Honestly wouldn’t be opposed to that. Forces their hand. Either they’re all in on Marner or all out

Yes but that’s kinda different situations. I could see varma putting up good numbers as a bounce back but 13 million is only what Mcdavid should make and this handicaps the isle

It does handicap them but they extended an offer of similar value to Panarin so they at least know they can make it work in some capacity

Lou would never give up 4 1sts for marner at that AAV. If isles are going to offersheet him (it won’t happen) id rather take my chances on a 10 x 3 and make it so his QO is 12 mill. That would cost two 1sts , a 2nd and a 3rd.

it will be hard to fit everyone but it's possible. They now have 13ish millions. Let's give them 15 millions free next year for Barzal, Pulock and Toews since they have plenty of AHLer who will fill up the 2 forward spots left.

Barzal : 9+ depending on his next season
Pulock : If he bet's on himself, he will take a bridge to get more money in 2-3 years, if not, he'll signe for something like 4-5 millions for a couple years.
Toews : he's expendable since Wilde will comes up.

That being said, you could OS Marner at 7 x 11 instead of 7x13 and have 2 more million to spare
