The rangers remind me of the 2017-18 islanders. You’ll win a lot of games 5-4 , 6-5 but ultimately fall short of the playoffs because of the defense.

The Rangers won’t win many games that they give up 45 shots against. Jets did have some defensive breakdowns but likely fewer than Nyr. King Henrik outplayed Helly.

But you guys had literally no goaltending, hank is a big improvement over 18 greiss, he has off games because of his age, but hes good enough to get the job done

It wasn’t the goaltending , it was Doug Weights system which lacked a proper defensive structure. I know hank is solid, but the only D the rangers have that are strong in their own zone are hajek and Trouba.

I think the rangers will be an exciting team to watch because they have a ton of offensive weapons, but it will be tough to get the playoffs this season IMO
