Yeah if that's the price, then no thanks. Brodin has been one of our best players so far this year IMO

Don't mind Donato..... but if Kapanen is being moved, Pateryn is not much of a sweetner either. As a Leafs fan I would be looking at Belpedio. Our D is our D this year..... would be more forward thinking.

I'd rather not trade JEE. We're going to need a Koivu replacement and JEE has looked solid. Our center depth in general is going to be awful in 2 years unless we figure out a trade or tank and draft Byfield

if the Leafs think Donato can be close to Kapanen in on ice value this seasons, the Leafs might do this deal. Getting the benefit of 1.3m in cap will allow the Leafs to carry another player when Dermot and Hyman return.
Kapanen, who I like just, might be more suited to 3rd line duty...and good at it than a top line winger in Babcock's system.
