I think trading prospects is the last thing San Jose should be doing. That 1st you traded to Ottawa is shaping up to be a top 5 pick. OH the irony. Ottawa gave up a top 5 pick for Duchene, San Jose gives up a top 5 pick for Karlsson???

I agree -- if you take out Gamby I do this deal.

Armia is an underrated player, but this is probably an overpayment for the Sharks. Still don’t know if the habs do it, considering how valuable Armia is to the team (PP, PK, only big forward, great chemistry with KK).

I agree it’s an overpayment, but if anything he’s underrated. Armia is sneaky skilled, and is a great 2 way player. He was on pace for 19 goals last year, and looks even better this year.

???? Armia is a career 30 point guy. He's a UFA in two years. You can lots of those guys virtually for free.

Does this make either team better? I don't think it does.

That's because he fits with Montreal. If he goes elsewhere he could turn back into a depth player.

I would argue that his size (and the rest of the habs forwards lack of it) is the only thing that would be different with a new team, since few teams have more middle 6 forwards than Montreal. But I get what you’re saying.
