Good deal from TOR's perspective, but I don't think the Blues would trade Pietrangelo as long as they think they're Cup contenders. Their current roster is too cohesive for a major shakeup, in my opinion.

Not useful though if he is a Right Wing/Center you will note we need a Left Wing more than a Right Wing.

In this post, the Leafs aren't any better this year despite giving up the future of Nylander and Dermot. Getting two NHLers....Pietrangelo and Vitranen for four Leafs regulars, Nylander, Dermot, Ceci and Kerfoot don't make the Leafs better this year . The Leafs who are razor thin with Dmen give up two and get just one in return.

St Louis already tried Pietro for Nylander straight up when Nylander hadn't signed and Dubas rejected. Trading a 23 year old for a guy leaving his prime is a bad idea.
