Trade for montour

Created by: GenXHockey

Published: Dec. 10, 2019

Description
So I’m not sure what else I can add to this trade. Maybe some sabres fans can help me out. All of the players in the forward slots can be added or swapped with players in the trade. All picks are up as well. Is there something fair that can be made with both sides?

Trevor Moore has played 46 NHL games, bit of an overstatement to say he's a top 9 forward just yet.

I certainly understand your criticism and in most cases you'd be correct, but if you watch him play I think you would agree he's a bottom six forward who's capable of playing up the lineup.

I'm surprised you have Kerfoot there but not Kap.

Sabres need centres. Would want a 2c but may find use for kerfoot. Just can’t see kappy as a good move for either side.

I know they need help down the middle but I think they would have interest in Kap still. Why do you think it would be a bad move for both sides? Because they need centers and Kap would kill us every time we played them?

I'm high on Moore too. When you have 4 players taking up 50% of your cap (which will decrease as the cap rises but not enough to defeat my point), you have to have players that's value exceeds their contract....and Moore is exactly that.

BTW, what do you think of BTV?

Brain fart.
BTV ?

We are a bit thinner on RW forwards. Need someone defensively capable like kapanen. Possibly moving Hyman I. There could work though.

We have Bracco waiting but he's definitely not defensively sound. Yeah, I'd move Hyman over to the right side (his natural side) if we move out one of our current RW. Fair points.

@wojme
Would you trade Reinhart and a first for Reilly? I sort doubt you would, so why would the TML trade Nylander for Montour?
@MadLin27
That is exactly what I was thinking Kapanen instead of Johnson. Buffalo could use a RW more than another LW.
@Jamiepo
I see you value Kapanen slightly less than Johnson.
Replace Johnson with Kapanen in your trade and IMO Betterall would take it. Buffalo could use a RW more than a LW.
@ MG1986 I think I have seen enough of Montour to know that Betterall fleeced Murray in that deal. I think Murray thought the pick would be closer to 20th overall and some how thought Guhle was an actual prospect (I think he must have been reading the Buffalo News praise Guhle for the past 3 years.)
@ Sign_em_up000000 You rhetorically asked what it would take to get Jokiharju, I will answer facetiously, it took a Nylander to get him, it will take a Nylander to take him away, LOL Seriously, I think Jokiharju has a huge upside. If he continues to develop (IMO he now often is the best defenseman on the ice) Nylander may well be the asking price in the future. But that is not the correct value now.
