Would just Mitts be a solid 1 for 1 swap?

What Mitts be a solid 1 for 1 swap for him? I assumed Ryan strome had less value bc hes older but clearly I might be wrong

Dylan Strome is the poster child for not giving up on MIttelstadt.

Why would we trade a consistent 60 point player (in Chicago) for a guy who can't stay in the NHL? That does not make any sense for us, and I tbh Id rather keep Strome, who is young enough for our rebuild than trade him for some maybe as good as strome player one day.

If we can trade him for Mitts straight up I think I would do it knowing we still have Cozens on the way.

From the Hawks pov, the trade above...yeah I'd do, but a 1 for 1?!?! No way.

The comp between Strome bros is hard. Age, RFA vs UFA, Ryan's having a career year by a county mile and still darn close to Dylan.

Strome literally has zero 60 point seasons

Edit: how can it be consistent when he has maybe 80 games played in Chicago?

Maybe it's somewhere in the middle... something like Mittelstadt, a lower prospect and a 2nd round pick?

He has been on a consistent pace since he came to Chicago that puts him on 60-70 point pace either way you slice it.

There is LITERALLY no reason for us to move him for an underperforming prospect, a late first, and a meh prospect.

Go back to school and discover what consistent means.

To be honest, I would be appalled if the Blackhawks traded Strome for any reason. Your original offer is good, your recent offer is okay... But we don't have reason to trade Strome to begin with.

Sorry I missed that lesson I guess.

Anyways, if you are resorting to criticizing the syntax of my original statement, when you clearly understood what I meant, then it can be reasonably inferred you have nothing useful left to add.

Strome SHOULD sign a reasonable contract. If not that's when I look around for options. CHI gave him a shot at a real contract anyway.

Ristolainen, a lotto protected 1, Mittelstadt, and Bryson for Strome. Dach is ready to take over 2C next year anyway...
