Columbus probably accepts, personally I’d rather switch Kapanen for Johnsson because we really have no interest in Kapanen unless he can play LW for us, as we’d still have 4 middle 6 RWs.

I think Johnsson would certainly be a better fit. To me, leafs give up way too much in term and age here. I don’t think that the value is far off. It’s just poor asset management.

I would certainly certainly snider something with Johnsson and savard as the base.

Maybe Johnsson and a 3rd for Anderson and savard?

This bad for the Leafs. Four NHLers for three NHLers. Leaf lose on defence giving up two NHLer and only getting the Savard in return. Plus the years of control of Dermot outweight any benefit of Savard.
Andersson has one more goal than me this season. Rather just keep Johnsson. Jenner really hasn't been anything special for long stretches in his career. Rather keep Kerfoot who has played better lately.

Meh.... I wouldn’t say no... but you’re undervaluing Savard by quite a bit imo. He’d gets that rerun on his own. Anderson hasn’t done anything this year so maybe a slight upgrade on the pick...

I think that's a deal that would work for both sides.

3 years of Johnsson for 1 year of savard is not even but I think they will get offers for savard from a team heading into the playoffs. The third is for Anderson and I think this is a more than fair offer.

Not saying that cbj won’t get something better but if they do I don’t want it to be the leafs getting burned.

Johnsson and a 3rd aren’t enough to for Columbus to move Anderson and Savard. So I guess you don’t get them. SO STOP TRADING FOR HIM IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY THE PRICE.

No... it’s the price others are willing to pay. Lots of them have Anderson for a 2nd and Savard for a decent prospect and a 2nd or 3rd.

I’ve been saying that they presented offer probably gets accepted with Johnsson and a 3rd for Savard and Anderson, I’d done in the offseason and you keep saying that awful because Savard is a UFA at the end of the year. I also don’t think Savard would be a good fit in Toronto, or that Johnsson isn’t the best fit in Columbus.

There really isn’t a clear fit for a Toronto Columbus trade that both sides can agree on.

I don’t mind the Johnsson and a 3rd. That’s why I suggested it. And no there haven’t been any real offers on savard. Cap friendly certainly doesn’t Dictate real life. This is all assuming that CBJ isn’t contending.

I don’t see how a prospect is better than the real thing. I mean Johnsson is an nhler and on a decent contract.

I can’t say that CBJ will move these players but I can, based off similar trades, anticipate that you may be very disappointed with the return.

I’d be totally fine with that trade and you’re right this isn’t real, it’s CF. I’d be disappointed if we traded them right now as Anderson has super low value and that just shows they are giving up on him. As for Savard he has another year.. of he wants to stay, keep him, if he wants to leave, trade him for anything you can get.

Prospects can be better then the real thing, there’s a chance with prospects to be better then anticipated, with the real thing, most of the time they are older and you know what they are. That being said the prospect could also be a dud and a bust... risk vs reward comes into play at that point.
