I commented on one of those horrible trades today saying that unless Timo Meier is part of that deal the conversation doesn't even start.

I'm one of those Shark fans who made an armchair gm trade proposal today with Sens getting Meier and SJ getting its 1st back plus taking on Bobby Ryan in full. I'd do it if I'm Wilson.

Sharks fan here and I do not blame you. Wilson dug his own grave this year letting three top six forwards walk while giving that hideous contract to the Human Turnover Machine Erik Karlsson. I hope we can get rid of Karlsson soon but Ottawa has earned that pick and as a hockey fan I can honestly say that Ottawa is going to be reeeaal good soon.

Though I wouldn't mind doing a deal where the Sharks can get Norris and Tierney back, that honestly makes much more sense.

Not sure Ottawa would pull the trigger on that but it's certainly something that would have the fans equally divided into two camps. I'll go check out your trade and build the Senators side of it today. I feel for you guys, way too many of the players you need to trade have a 3 team list and that's surely going to hurt the return.

Yeah I don't think the Sens are moving picks this season. Those two firsts plus the others they may get moving Pageau and Duclair, their rebuild will be accelerated greatly after this draft.

And they'll likely keep all those 2020 picks in Juniors, bring up a few of the Belleville boys and grab some "okay" UFAs to make another bottom 10 team for 20-21. They're going to have some stellar prospects for sure.
