Description

As stated in the trade description this was based on a rumour and I'm not a fan just thought it might lead to some EVENTFUL discussion LOL. This would also put the Leafs over the cap by about 1.4mil with a Moore and Sandin as spares OR 200,000 over with no spares. This also means that Moore, Sandin and Timashov would have to go to the minors. Timashov would most likely be traded for a late-round pick in this scenario.

Additional Details:

I read a rumour today based on something from a Montreal sports commentator who suggested. Domi and Petry for Kapanen and Bracco+. I figured it'd be worth throwing this up here to see what the thoughts were on it. I figured you'd need to add Ceci for the cap and a d-prospect hence Duszak and some picks I think 2,4, early 7 is ok value.

Additional Details:

I personally don't like this trade at all. I'm into Petry but I'd prefer if we are going to go blockbuster like this to trade Johnsson+ for Manson in ANA or really go big and go after Fabbro in the summer when Poile inevitably blows up the NSH roster.

Probably not, what was floated (in the rumour I read) was that the Habs aren't happy with Domi right now, hence possibly a lower value for him. I don't really like this trade idea so I didn't put a tone of effort in to upgrading the value from the Leafs end LOL. Just threw some extras with what was rumoured as Bracco and Kapanen

If Domi is on the move Habs would do better than that return, Leafs would no chance to retain Domi unless he's going super team friendly at 5/6 million mark

Habs could get more in separate deals than that package from Leafs. Cap could be worked out if Habs retained on the next few months of Domi. But doubt if the Leafs could handle the Domi and Petry contracts next season without further cuts.

My friend (who is French and understood the original clip) said the TVA guy has a REAL hate on for Domi. As a Devils fan he didn't understand it at all. I don't think Montreal dislikes Domi, I think someone at TVA Sports dislikes him with a passion.
