I do believe they would rather have Domi over Drouin

I like this Drouin trade but I truly feel like this is just delaying the inevitable.. This won't make the Habs a playoff team next year. I'm for making this trade but it can't be the only one.

If you make that trade, i say you continue the purge and pick up more picks and prospects by moving Petry and Tatar.

im not a bad guy, I like trades. Just Byram/timmins/Newhook are not happening and Carey Price is not happening, other than that...lets trade party haha

Apparently Pierre LeBrun mentioned at some point this week, or perhaps even yesterday, that Canes offered Montreal a 1st in 2020 and Jake Bean for Jeff Petry and Montreal refused. Can anyone confirm that LeBrun actually mentioned this somewhere, or is Twitter fooling me again.

He did say they expressed interest in Petry and that Bean and a 1st round pick were in the table, but apparently MTL doesnt feel Bean is a true top 4 dman, dont know why they think that but its thier opinion apparently. It was on RDS in french if you're looking for it.

I think of its Domi or Drouin Timmins would have to be involved, Tatar would mean mean no Timmins but at least your 1st and Beauxage or Kamanev, if MTL retained half they might be able to squeeze Kaut but once again none of us actually know how our teams are looking at th potential of each player.

Timmins is offlimits from what Avs writers are reporting. Apparently the focus on montreals side is Graves.

Sorry, but that trade isn’t getting Anderson out of Columbus... at this point we’d rather see if he can turn it around then to trade him for a 6th/7th D who would become a healthy scratch when players get healthy and a 4th line wing we have no need for.

I agree that this trade doesn't boost us into the playoffs next year but I would hope with all the picks on hand that MB pulls off fireworks at the draft and during the summer in order to bring a bonafide star or two into the fold and give the team a fighting chance in the divisional race.

They don’t care about Mack and drouin as junior linemates, he won’t be his linemate if he was on the avs.
