Some teams like BUF, CBJ, EDM, NYR have many options on D but I'm not sure who's available/if they need that top6 F.

Don't beat around the bush, we all know that's really what your asking.

No need to congratulate, your last two dozen ACGM's have been about trading Boeser. At this point your just looking for new ways to word the same question.

Montour or Risto. Ristolainon is your perfect second pairing guy that gets 60-70percent offensive zone starts.

Slight correction. Columbus would need a top 6 Center. Not a wing. We have plenty of wings.

He’s been on a trade Boeser kick the last week or so... colukbus doesn’t really need Boeser unless Atkinson is going the other way. They play the same role.

From EDM Larsson would be, but it depends who we are getting in the return.

Tyler Johnson could make for an interesting target if Tampa made him available

The Top 6 forward is Boeser...who would be a terror to face if he was paired with McDavid.

He’d also have to waive... he’s also spent a lot of time at wing the last few years.

He has played more wing the last few years, but I don't think its been because of his ability to play center. He's roughly 50% in the dot for his career and is capable of taking 700+ FO a year, so a slide back over to C isn't out of the question.

I don’t disagree, though I’m not solid on him being 2nd line. He hasn’t really done much since that playoff run to the cup in 2015 where he broke his hand.

After looking him up he had 72 points in that 14-15 season, then the following years were 38, 45, 50, 47, 31.

14-15 72 points= 2nd on Columbus(1 behind folingo for 1st)
15-16- 7th (2 points behind Wennberg)
16-17- 7th again (2 points behind Werenski)
17-18- 3rd( 2 points above PLD)
18-19- tied for 4th with Anderson
19-20- tied for 5th with Folingo

2 things jump out, Columbus offense is awful and he might fix that. Remember he had much better line mates with Stamkos, Point, Kucherov and Palat. That he would fix a big hole for Columbus...

I think its tough to look solely at the points without looking at GP or his average TOI. For example in 17/18 he had 50pts while getting 17 minutes a night. The following season he had 47pts while playing a little over a minute less a night. This past season he saw his TOI drop to under 15 minutes a night. The other way I look at it is to take the top 62 centers over the last 3 years and see what their production was like. In this case its roughly 50pts for a #2C on the low end. Is Johnson going to be an elite #2C? no, but he could be a good #2C with the right playing time.

You also have to look at his line mates too... Kucherov, Point, and Stamkos are all much better then anything Columbus has. I’m not saying they carried him but having that type of player drawing attention away from you helps. Then as he we down in lines teams started focusing more on him and his production dropped.

I’m not saying he’s bad or anything, but if you put Wennberg in Johnson’s spot there’s a possibility we have the same conversation going the other way as Tampa also plays a wide open style compared to Columbus playing a grinding defence first style.

Maybe that would be the trade Johnson for Wennberg. The problem is neither team can really afford to take much contract back as Columbus has some big names to sign in PLD, Anderson, Gavrikov and others as Tampa needs to cut salary to keep Cirelli Cernak and Sergachev... good idea, not sure the cap will work to make it happen.
