You're not getting Brett Pesce for those pieces, Trying adding Nylander at least. No way Carolina makes that deal.

yeah, i dunno about that Canes trade. I mean when a guy has a not great season and then gets a pretty bad injury and we dont know healthy he is, you cant expect a team to pull the trigger on something like that. No way the Leafs pay that much for a guy when his value is so low

Generally accepted wisdom on this site is that Josh Manson = Liljegren plus a 2020 second, and Brett Pesce >> Josh Manson.

Since Toronto doesn't have a 2020 first, maybe Kapanen plus the 2021 first plus something might interest Carolina. But nothing less.
