I don't know if you need to give up that much for Sean Walker. He's a good 2nd pair D but he's 25 and a pending RFA. The Leafs could use him, but would have to be confident he can handle the minutes and responsibility increase.

I won't comment on the Anaheim trade because it's wrong.

Kings aren't going to trade either Walker or Roy unless they get another quality RHD option. Until and unless Durzi is ready, they don't have any other NHL-quality RHD in the system. Dermott isn't the answer, otherwise you wouldn't be trading him++ for Walker.

I expect the Kings to sign Walker to a 4-year, $2.5Mish contract extension this summer.

Manson for Walker is the start of a good idea. The problem is deciding on what Toronto has to add. Johnsson and a fourth ain't it . . . we have a plethora (some might say a surfeit) of left-handed middle-6 forwards.
