Korpisalo is actually quite good, and already NHL level.

That trade is oof for Columbus. Korpisalo is much better then Delia and Strome isn’t good without Kane or Debrincat. We don’t have anyone near as good as either of them to put with him... hard no on that trade. If we wanted an overpaid 3rd line center to play 2nd line we’d play Wennberg there.

Lmao, you think Wennberg is as good as Strome? I don’t completely agree or disagree with your statement but suggesting Wennberg is as good as Strome is going way too far.

I was saying that if we wanted an overpaid 3rd line center to play second line center we already have Wennberg. Wasn’t saying they were equal. Strome is better then Wennberg... but if Wennberg was with Kane he’d have 50+ points every year too...

Strome played as much without Kane as he did with Kane and if he did play with Kane 100% of the time, he have a lot more points.

Exactly. I’m not sure why JC didn’t play Kane with Cat and Strome more. That line always clicked and put up points. Then again there was also games where I though I saw Kane on the ice for the whole period too... the best place for Strome is Chicago. And sorry, but Strome isn’t worth the down grade between Korpisalo to Delia let alone adding Anderson and a draft pick.

JC didn't play that line together more because defensively they were terrible. As much as they put up points, they got scored on. Strome is not fast enough to play a solid 200 ft game, cat is too small, and kane is kane...never been a defensive guy. That line overexposed a struggling defense so that's why they didn't play much together that last year.

Just to be clear, i'm not saying I am for or against the trade.

Yeah, but you need to score to win and if the line puts up more points then it gives up... might be worth it. Especially if your other 3 lines a solid defensively and chip in every once in a while with their own points.

That's the issue, they gave up as much as they scored.
