    1. Bjugstad, Nick
    Additional Details:
He's still a serviceable middle 6 forward, slightly overpaid, but it's not like the contract is just this huge unmovable anchor like people make it out to be on here

    1. Hall, Curtis [Reserve List]
    BOS
    1. DeSmith, Casey
    2. Riikola, Juuso
    Additional Details:
BOS gets their backup for after Halak, and a solid bottom pair d man, PIT gets a kid I really like, he could be a decent middle 6 forward for us long term imo

Depends where he goes. A team like Jersey or LA may bite for that bag of pucks in order to turn a profit at the deadline.

Realistically, I think to move him the Pens may need to retain about $1.5 million, or as you said an asset. But if you find the right dance partner, you could pull off a fast one.

That doesn't mean he wants a bridge deal.

Bruins NHL staff are Tuukka/Halak and the minor league G-Men are Swayman, Keyser and Vladar...where could they possibly "shoe-horn" DeSmith?

He's not getting any term from me at least, I'll let someone else offer that anchor and take the compensation

Maybe a 1 year deal to prove himself. But not a bridge

I'd give him that, but unless he is like top 5 G in the league good I wouldn't give him term after that, he needs to be at least close to average for at least two years before I'd feel comfortable giving him term

He’s a good possession player, he’s battled injuries this year but only has a year left. They can move him for free. Teams will take a gamble on him

untrue. Bjugstad will be a fairly decent commodity. He's 1 year, most likely LTIR covered by insurance. Teams looking to hit cap floor without carrying the cap hit years forward will be highly interested in such a move.

If the cap wasn't flat, I would agree. $4 millionn for a third liner is pricey - even though I love his game.

We traded Gudbranson who had an "unmovable" contract for an AHLer and a 7th... so yeah I highly doubt that Bjugstad costs assets to move considering he is a FAR FAR FAR superior player than EG..
