Why would Florida give up on two of their past three top ten picks? Because Strome and Beaudin fill needs at center (now) and LHD (soon)… I’ll admit this is not likely to happen.

I am indeed curious why Florida signed Bob to that ridiculous contract and drafted Knight, but I still can't see them trading him away for anything other than a SEVERE overpayment. Which I do believe this to be an overpayment, but it just doesn't make sense for either team.

trade makes no sense for Florida and you guys will have the opportunity to draft Askarov this year. I don't see why either team does this.

I think Strome instantly becomes their second line center? I’ll admit I don’t know Florida prospects, but their LHD are looking a bit... unoptimal.

knight will get to play in 2 years when Florida's backup Dreiger becomes a ufa. Cause if he can continue to do those kinds of numbers imagine him on a team who can properly defend

I honestly don't see Yzerman trading that pick unless its for something really big. Maybe next years 3rd from Vegas. Now I mean no offense here but I truly hope this never happens I don't like Maatta.

Honestly by the time knight is ready for the NHL 1. Chicago may be out of cap hell and does not need him as they will have had a replacement for Crawford and 2. Florida will probs be in Quebec or Dallas. Either way trade aint necessary.

Next years vegas pick is fine. I think Maatta unfairly gets a bad rep, but your entitled to not like him.

Rather not wanna draft a goalie in the first. Goalies are too unpredictable.

On every mock draft you're convinced that Askarov isn't going to be Chicago's pick because of the unpredictability of prospect goalies and that they'll go with a UFA or that Lankinen is the next Bennington yet in your ACGM you trade the pick that would be used to take Askarov along with a top 6 + top 4 (Prospect) + 2nd rounder for a goalie that's projected to be .... As good as Askarov and is only a D+1 prospect?
If I'm Florida I take that deal and run. I draft Askarov which will take a little bit longer to develop (Giving time for Bobs horrendous contract to vanish a little more) and you just gave me players that are making my team much more competitive right away.

So then you give a 1st on top of 3 other assets to get a D+1 goalie? tears of joy

No I wouldn't make that trade either. I rather see what we have in delia and lankinen before we trade for a prospect goalie or waste a 1st rd pick on one.
