Dude, Sheary was hated in Buffalo which I don’t think you were aware. Also, he has to play with Eichel & Marner to produce.

I'm hoping Mattias Sammualson will be ready this year to play in the NHL. Routsolainin can take Shearys spot.

read the other threads and what I did with the pick. Makes the team far more balanced and equally as dangerous offensively

I didn't know that sheary wasn't liked- not a problem- just a placeholder for what they can afford there. Put in a prospect there if you want, he's not an important part of this post

Don't know why all the Leafs fans have turned on Marner on here in the last month. Guy is a superstar had 94 points in his 3rd year and was on pace for 93 this year. He's as big a factor for AMs 50+ goal pace as Matthews is himself. Not even bringing a top pairing guy back even with the picks it doesn't make any sense

I'm not against Marner, I still think he's excellent and I'm not saying they MUST trade him. But bringing balance to the team would be huge. Makes an extremely deep offence, and that RHD side adds pietrangelo with his cap space, along with Manson and jokiharju to round out a now very strong right side, and rakell to fill in in a top 6 role.

Also that Matthews statement is a stretch and a half. Dude scored 40 in his rookie year with rookie hyman and rookie brown. No doubt he makes his linemates significantly better though

Dude you should check how Reddit & Twitter users view Marner. They don’t believe he is an important player to the team, just a passenger.

well reddit and twitter isn't the best source, now is it? He's a star player making like 1M more than he's worth, there's no doubt that there would be major interest if he were to be made available. Get your info from trustable sources, not opinions of people who barely know hockey on reddit

I agree with prioritizing Dahlin's next contract. If Reinhart and Botterill are far apart on dollars, term, or both, the Sabres should trade him (Reinhart) now so they can lock up Dahlin long term by next offseason.

right, and its not like domi is a downgrade. if cozens isn't ready for 2C, domi is a very good 2C, and dahlin still gets his money

Leafs analyst Matt Cane believes Marner is worth 6.6 million dollars per 6 years.

that's ridiculous. He's probably just saying that because of pastrnak, who is grossly underpaid

He had Nylander ranked at 6.9 million before he signed & Marner at 6.6 million before he signed.

Yes but his argument was that Nylander spent more time possessing the puck in the offensive zone, therefore, he’s better.
