You'll never sign De Melo for $2.5 million. Too many other teams would be willing to pay him significantly more, including Las Vegas and Dallas (no-income-tax states) and Anaheim and Toronto.

Winnipeg is a good spot for DDems but you’ll need to increase the salary by at least a million because he won’t sign for that lol. Also players in their prime don’t sign 2 year deals unless they’re fourth liners. DeMelo is immediately a 1st pair dman on the Jets, he will require a 4-5 year deal at around 4mil.

I don't see NSH giving up a 1st in any Turris deal

Do you think the Preds even want to move Turris?

Probably. But I don't see Poile giving up high value assets with a trade or even retaining much if any at all (see Subban deal). So I think it's most likely he starts next season in NSH

I think the jets accept that Turris deal, but I don't think the PReds offer it. They'll need to add a kicker to move Turris, but not a 1st rounder.
I feel for Turris cause he was really good for Ottawa, but has not lived up to the Preds contract. As a jets fan Im happy to see Poile make mistakes and have to deal with them. Having Josi on that bargain deal for years allowed them too much cap flexibility.
Have fun with Turris and Duchene David
