HAHAHAHAHAHAHA DET isn't moving Hronek. And if they did, if you start with Liiljegren and Nylander IMO

Plus why would teams give you free picks when they could just put those players on LTIR?

They can't afford them after this pandemic. Leafs have huge financial muscles

id assume because they still have to pay the contracts and the leafs are able to do that better than all teams

I could see Johnsson for Zetterberg and their earliest 2nd this year type of deal.

Never said TOR should do it.

But Yzerman isn't a moron, he isn't moving Hronek, especially not for that

They may not, but Zetterberg's contract might be over 5 million in cap dollars, but in real dollars it is only 1 million and with insurance, probably less. there is no reason to trade the contract and our 2nd when it is not necessary, money wise. And please, Wing are not a team in financial trouble so stop with all that crap. Yes, Toronto maybe the richest or one of the richest teams in the NHL but not every team is in trouble, my god, that is just arrogance.

And sorry it will cost to get Hronek. You seem to think Wings are broke. They are not, and Yzerman is not giving the house away.

Zetterberg and Hossa contacts only have 1m left to pay out... Likely not going to get you much.

Not going to touch the Hronek comment.

The Anaheim deal is the only one that actually makes sense. Teams can't use LTIR unless they are up against the cap. It's relief. Anaheim likely has no intention in hitting the cap, so Kesler's caphit is just dead $$ to them.

That's why Ottawa has all their long term injured guys on IR as opposed to LTIR. They use them to hit the cap floor.

Ilitch Holdings brought in $3.8 Billion in 2018. I think they can handle the $6M left on Z's contract.

In general I have a feeling Dubas in the summer will be after the majority of these guys

1. Hossa (LTIR) probs dubas second target at draft or offseason as he can move a low pick for him then next season LTIR
2. Zetterberg (on LTIR with Detroit so toronto could make a deal for him)
3. Gaborik (LTIR) probs dubas first target in the offseason or draft.
4. Kesler and Seabrook (if both cant play anymore due to their surgeries) <--- If seabrook does retire he would be the prime target as $6.875 mill for 4 years would be very helpful. And if Dubas can get Kesler to thats a good chunk of LTIR money for 2 years. which is perfect as leafs will need a new backup in 2021 and will need to resign hyman, and in 2022 they will need to resign rielly.

Again, Zetterberg's deal in real money is 1 million not 5 plus in cap hit. There is no reason to trade the contract unless WE get something and even then I dount they trade the contract.

Why would we pay to have his deal off of our books when it is probably peanuts when factoring in insurance.

And again the Toronto maybe the richest franchise in the NHL, but Ilitch holdings are worth nort of 4 billion.
