I don’t see why you would want Subban. Me personally I don’t like him, and I don’t think he is any good.

dont need him on the pp we got Sandin, Liligren, Rielly, Muzzzin, and even the new guy Lehtonen can command a pp

PP1 will probs be Rielly but Lehtonen could steal it
and PP2 will probs start with Lehtonen

so in general we dont need Subban. Severson on the otherhand would be who the leafs want

I could see Tanev coming but he wont be cheap unless he takes a discount as he will be close to family here in Toronto. Gudas would be good but not as a partner for Rielly as he is better at mid range minutes.

You have only a 20-man roster here, which is dangerous in an era of routine injuries. That's a function of your acquisition of Subban. That's a high-risk move, because he hasn't really shown anything since the year before he left Nashville.

I don't think you'll get Tierney for spare parts, and the only reason you're getting him at all is because you're trading Kerfoot.

Trading Dermott and one of Johnsson or Kapanen seem reasonable given Toronto's cap situation and deficiency at RD. Any assets you trade away should be devoted towards addressing that primary need. You've done that here but I think that everyone is going to disagree with you that Subban is the answer.

Don't know if the increase from Kerfoot to Tierney is worth the cost. Kerfoot wouldn't get a 2nd, may as well leave him on the team unless there is a significant savings in caphit. Subban could be good but for 2 more years at 4.5M, we could sign someone who will be more reliable without giving up any assets. Pretty good for your 1st time but Leafs are just too close to the cap to be taking a shot on a 4.5M dman

@Hockeyguy12345 , I think your value is okay for subban at 50%. He still is a very good defender. Granted, he isn’t the offensive butterfly. He still puts up good minutes, and people are either hot or cold on the guy.
