You won't even get jarry's stick for that price.
You need to give them at least a 2nd in my opinion

Florida won't CBO Bob after having 1 ok season because no other FA will sign there then

Wild aren't giving up enough for Kerfoot, but he's not really the center we should target.

Yah I didn't want to overprice Kerfoot. Doesn't matter which team picks him up as long as they get a decent 3rd line winger in return.

Then replace him with Stralman or any of the other bad contracts they need CBO'd.

And I 100% think Bob gets a CBO. He is simply way too expensive for a broke team like the Panthers

Ok then swap the 3rd and the 4th with a 2nd. This was the exact trade proposed to me by a PIT fan btw. (2nd not 3rd + 4th)

I agree but I think Murray is more likely to go. would Tor move Anderson to make space for Murray? He has ties with Dubas as a few recent leafs additions have...

Maybe. Depends if he can rebound. I think for us Jarry would be cheaper going forward, and his value is high right now. If I were you I'd take it and run.

And I would probably not move Freddy for Murray, but 100% would for Jarry.

You offered a 2nd, 4th, and Dermott above. Dermott's ok, but the pens could really use a RW. Would you trade Kapanen or for Jarry? or would you consider a bigger blockbuster? involving Nylander? pit could give back more inexpensive options at D and Forward + Jarry.
Nylander+Dermott
for
Jarry+Ruhwedel(#3RHD)+McCann(young fast #3C or top-6 LW)+3rd round pick

eh if we have to give up Kap then we'll stick with Campbell.

And most people don't realize Dermott is a 2RHD at age 23, and we have plenty of bottom-4 defencemen.

Dermott can play the right side? That’s good. Campbell is a good backup but I don’t know if he is a starter.

As much as having klingberg for two years is appealing, trading away one of our few good contracts, attached to one of our best young players, in addition to one of our top d prospects, as well as a future bottom 6 F, is too much for him.

Just trying to make a realistic trade for him

Ya me either. I think if he makes big strides and plays like he did in LA last year he definitely has a shot but I would rather have someone like Jarry we can tandem with him.

I wouldn't trade Nylander for Klingberg never mind giving up our best RD prospect at the moment for only 2 years of Kling. Guy is average defensively and had a down year offensively. If the Leafs are giving up that much I'd want to target a Seth Jones type defenseman

Real nonsense that Leafs owners would pay 47m just to obtain Wallmark. Gee by this post, just keep Kerfoot. Too much to give up for two years of Klingberg but it does shoot right so of course it's an overpayment that the Leafs seem to have to pay by CF fans

I'd do 1 for 1 Nylander for Klingberg but this was to keep the angry Stars fans away

Still don't think he'd be a good fit for the Leafs. Maybe if we didn't have Rielly and he could play top pairing/pp1 with muzz

Kerfoot had like 8p more than Hartman this year, so Kerfoot isn't really a buy high candidate. I do think Kerfoot is better than that, and it's just he's not a good fit in Tor. He could be a decent fit in MN as a bottom-6 center.

A bottom-6 of would be pretty nice:
Donato/Kerfoot/Zucc (o-zone heavy draws)
Greenway/Strum/Foligno (d-zone heavy draws)

I could see mixing up the trade with Pateryn/Hunt instead of or in addition to those picks; if Tor was interested either of them.

But with the likes of Sturm, Rask, and arguably Ek, do we really need another bottom 6 center? Assuming Ek is our 2C after next season, who replaces Staal on the top line?

Kerfoot just doesn't make a ton of sense to me. He doesn't have the upside we should be looking for, even though I agree that he's better than what he showed in Toronto.

I'll stick with the picks. Thing is we have 5-6 bottom-4 defensemen (Sandin, Holl, Dermott, Liljigren, Lehtonen, maybe Marincin or Rosen on a good day), all of which are arguably better then those two. We only have one unfilled spot in the roster, and thats 1RHD. We have Muzzin and Rielly who are both top-pairing on pretty much any team which gives us 2 solid LHD. Holl has also been great with Muzzin, and those two have been our primary shutdown pairing. Now all we need to do is find a 1RHD, like Klingberg. Then, Sandin (20), Dermott (23), and Lehtonen (26 but best defensemen in the K last year) fight it out for the remaining spot while Rosen, Marincin, and Liljigren get scratched. We really don't need more 7D.

This isn't a trade to get a top-6 center. It's a trade to get an o-zone 3C that isn't costing us Brodin (Domi, Strome, etc).

Re-signing Chucky would be my first choice, but if that doesn't happen I like this trade. It makes the team better overall: Kerfoot >/= Kunin at center and Kunin > Hartman at wing. Or if Kaprizov needs some 3rd line time to better adjust to the NHL I'd much rather have him with Kerfoot than any of Strum, Rask, or Kunin as his center.
