That is one of the worst McDavid to the Leafs trades I have seen on here. You could take Draisaitl out of the deal and the Oilers would still say no way.

Draisaitl is right there with Mackinnon for the best young center contract in the league...

Marner is an elite gamebreaker, but he's not a center. And the contract differential is substantial. TOR would have to add way more than they'd ever be able to make sense of just to make it work value-wise. And in that instance, you're going to receive bomb threats in the mail from the TOR fans on this site.
