Description

Slight over payment by Nashville, but you upgrade offensively and long term on RyJo for the price of draft picks. Trading Johnsson is necessary to make room for Robertson. Hopefully he pans out, and you get a good young 4th line center that could use a change of scenery.

What exactly is the point of this? Marner is better/younger. You don't even do anything with the extra cap. Just made the team worse lmao

bottom line, trading marner for a much worse player whos 5 years older that plays a postiion we dont need to save 3 mil is dumb

Don’t think the Rangers would deal a 3rd or Howden for Johnsson. Much less both.

Marners contract isn't great, but he will likely hit 100 pts sooner and since he is young it will age well.

Johansen hasn't even been close to a ppg since signing his contract, is aging rapidly, and has term left on that horrific contract.

That is an UNBELIEVABLY bad trade

A slight overpay by Nashville? A 60 point centre making 8+ million vs a 90+ point younger winger making just under 11 is not a slight overpay, its a massive downgrade for TO.
