Seems like a pretty realistic team. Rodrigues will probably cost more though, which they can't pay.

I feel like he gets added into a trade or non-tendered simply because he shouldn’t be a 13th skater.

Its gonna take more than a 4th and ECHLer to get the wings to take on 4 years of Jack Johnson's contract

Maybe swap the 4th for a 2nd or 3rd then

Bjugstad is worth more than that. He’s a beauty from what I hear. If I’m a manager I’m asking a pretty penny just buy out contracts or eat there contracts. You don’t spend millions that lightly. Unless they can be useful like Bjugstad If he can stay healthy. Don’t get me wrong Almeida Is decent, just don’t know how interested the wings would really be in him. We have lots of players and picks we want to grow into the future.

There’s no doubt that Bjugstad will be easy to move and could be next season’s Vlad Namestnikov if he stays healthy. He was really good in a small sample size at the end of last season just couldn’t stay healthy and lost his spot to McCann this year.

As for Johnson it’s gonna be a super interesting situation to monitor because the penguins need the cap space and PO Joseph is likely going to end up forcing his way into the lineup similar to how John Marino did at the beginning of this year.

I saw a trade can't remember if it was Jarry or Murray plus JJ for a couple of 3rds. If Pittsburgh really wants to trade one of their goalies move JJ and get a couple of picks in the process.

It’s the most sensible way but I think Pittsburgh needs to bend over backwards to keep both goalies simply because it’s risky to commit to Jarry over a 20 something game sample size. I’d much rather them sign both and if Jarry keeps it up into next season and establishes himself as the main guy they’ll just give Murray to Seattle and use that $5.5M+ in cap space to extend Marino.

if you even looked at the contract you'd know it's 3 years not 4.

And it's actually 1 year because it's easy to buyout in the 2nd year as the cost of buying it out is the same as playing him.
The buyout cost is roughly 1 mil cap hit per x 4 years.

He's a stop gap for a team. He's probably a decent fit in detroit. Who will need defense this off season and isn't going to really attract anyone.

If JJ contract is longer than 2 years..then not interested..unless you throw in elite D prospect &/or 1st rd pick in 2022 (no protection)....
