Don't act like the Leafs didn't give up a 2nd in the deal. Dubas has shown multiple times that he likes to move back in the draft. He's not going to get rid of an asset like Kapanen to move up a few spots.

Im acting like that but top-20 pick has much more value than top-50.. moving up 30 spots and getting player that can be similar to Kapanen while removing cap space and getting even better player than what Kap is with that top-20 pick is pretty fine deal imo. But yes, Dubas likes to move back in 1st round so I dont see him being attracted to trade which would be moving up 30 spot but getting Kap out of the lineup.. if I can see one trade its either Johnsson or Kerfoot for early to mid 2nd round pick to gain one more pick.
