avs would rather keep francouz. not completely sold on grubauer and there aren't many better second options than francouz.

You would need more for Marner

The other trades are bad for MTL. Byron isnt a cap dump, was just injured this year. You can get a much better package for Tatar then a late 1st and a back up goalie, especially when giving up a pick that's only like 14 spots back of where the Colorado pick would be and a potential back up goalie.

Avs have the best goalie tandem in the league (according to The Athletic's recent article), and won't give that up for a rental.

The Leafs trade is also terrible for Toronto. Just a bunch of quantity compared to Marner.
