Description
rumour from Josh Yohe that kris Letang could get moved this offseason to clear cap space

I have no idea what the value would be for a 33 year old defenceman @ 7.5 mil for 2 seasons

Would leafs be interested ?
I hope not because there cap issues would be much worse

Pittsburgh needs a lot more coming in for Letang. Put up 44 points this year, still a great RD.

Who are the Leafs going to move to accommodate Kris Letang? Need to remember that we're probably looking at a flat cap for this year and next.

Any Letang trade starts with Marner (15% Retained Salary). Also, Josh Yohe hates Letang, I wouldn’t trust anything he says regarding him.

Letang for Johnsson, 1st is a no.

Wait, so are you saying that an aging Letang is somehow better then the 5th best RW in the NHL?

So you label Marner as the 5th best RW, and label Letang as aging instead of one of the best at his position?

Kings aren't going to do a Kerfoot for Lizotte trade, even if you add a couple garbage picks.

Why not?

Because the Kings like Lizotte. He's their best bottom six center since Jarret Stoll left. The only reason they would consider trading him is due to the fact that they will probably lose him to Seattle for nothing next summer.

Knowing that, they would probably trade him, but whatever they get back needs to be expansion draft exempt. Kerfoot has the same issue as Lizotte, in that they would have to waste a protection slot on him or risk losing him for free to Seattle. Make the return SDA and a 3rd round pick and the Kings might be interested.

Pretty funny list considering Letang finished 6th in Norris last year... And btw, no shot Nylander is better Laine

Raantanen and tarasenko are better than MM. MM is the 7th best RW in the NHL.
Letang is better than Burns, EK, and IMHO Carlsson. I know he may win the Norris this year...and I recognize his great offensive talents...but this is his best year and his defense is still horrible so I put Letang right there with him at least. Letang is better then Parayko for sure. Letang is about #6/7 RHD in the NHL. Letang has never won a Norris and has had a lot of injury problems. Bc of that and his bad turnovers(not as many as people think) he has a lot of haters and is under appreciated and generally underrated around the league.
I don't want Marner and the pens won't trade Letang. No one can replace his minutes for us unless we sign Pietrangelo and unless he takes around $7-8M we can't afford him.
The price for Letang would start with Nylander+++and the leafs would add from there. Overall Letang would be a great fit for the Leafs but there's literally zero chance he gets moved. That's just nonsensical rumour.
