As a DAL fan I'm quite interested...

Maybe if Ducks added a replacement D for Johns place...Djoos or something like that for example...

Disagree. Pavs doesn’t fit and Rakell would be a massive upgrade. Swap Johns for Honka. We need Johns in the lineup unless we’re going after Melo

I love Stephen Johns, but I'm gonna pass, Pavs brings 0 value at best to the ducks, and the 1st will probably be around 20, at the earliest assuming Dallas wins the play in round

Anaheim side: That's one way to boost your retool/reset, the three 1st rounders you got this year should come in when Pavs contract's about to end.
Stars side: You pay to get rid of one bad signature but Rakell brings you immediate help and this deal -in a winnow mentality- makes you better.

Pavelski's side: No way I'm lifting my NMC to go from a playoff team located in a tax-free state to end up in a bottom five team in the state with the highest personal income tax rate, hell to the no.

Dallas should just buy out Pavs so the sharks can sign him to a place where he actually has chemistry and can be productive.

Pavelski has a NMC, No reason for him to waive for Anaheim.

Two years of an aged veteran at $7 million, one year of an injury-plagued defenseman and a middle first for Rakell? (Note that you're using the past season's roster, not 2020-2021.) No, thanks.

I think Rakell is worth somewhere between a middle first and a roster player to a late first and an A prospect. Dallas doesn't have any roster player or A prospect that we can use. (All of their interesting prospects are LW's, C's or LD's.) I don't think that there's a deal between the Stars and the Ducks.

Buying Pavelski out the next year costs more than keeping him.

Pass. The pick is good, but we need prospects. No way I'd take back Pavs either. Timmins + 1st offered by some COL fans is a better deal.
