Sabres would say get lost with that trade proposal. They would want Draisaiti straight up or no deal.

Didn't I say it wasn't serious? Oilers will never trade Draisaitl and sabres will not trade Eichel right now. Just wanted to see how Eichel, McDavid,Draisaitl would fit theoretically in 1 lineup.

Lol people offer like 5 solid peace’s for Eichel and sabres fans think Eichel starts with Draisaitl. I don’t get it. Drais is so so much better than Eichel.

The Oilers decline. They aren't trading 5 good pieces for a player they don't need. The depth they are trading away in the deal above is worth FAR more than the superstar they get in return.

Agree. A 5-for-1 is ridiculous when all 5 are top-level pieces.

- I looked at Nuge's production yesterday and found that as a winger, Nuge is a top echelon winger. Of course he isn't as good as Eichel, but he'll also sign long-term in Edmonton for somewhere around $7M.

- Nurse is known as a physical, defensive defender around the league, but most don't know that he's also one of the highest point-producing defensemen, too. He doesn't get to play on the 1st powerplay unit so his overall scoring is shy of the NHL's best, but at 5v5 he's the 7th best scorer in the league, tied with Victor Hedman. That's decent company.

- The 1st is likely to be in the 18-23 range, as this trade has torpedoed the teams depth.

I'm all for getting more talent wherever possible, but sending 5 good-to-great assets to Buffalo for 1 very good asset doesn't strike me as a winning formula.
