Sabres are deep on defense,
and we have a few you LH defensemen we like in the pipeline

Sabres are thin at LHD. We have Dahlin and Mccabe Bryson probably needs another year in the AHL. I would rather sign a UFA to play on the left side.

We have Montour playing LD currently
With Bryson ready-ish, Samuelsson in Rochester & Johnson on the way.
Plus UFAs like u mention

I just don’t think this trade with the Leafs happens

Seems very inpractical that Leafs would win the Cernak "sweepstakes". There just isn't any logic behind the constant Cernak to Leafs scenario.

Think sabers would consider fast tracking the blue line and consider a guy like nurse? LD big can play physical very strong skater he won’t be cheap to acquire but would solidify top 4 very nicely.

Detroit laugh and blocks Dubas number, Fabbri is worth more then Johnnson. Fabbri would cost you Kapanen and then some.

Id do fabri for kerfoot as a base, fabri isn't a true center and depending on the draft Detroit really needs a center who can play top 6 minutes

Dont think Detroit is interested in moving Fabbri right now and I dont think Leafs will trade Dermott.
