Sorry but no effing way do I see the Jets or any team trading a 1st for Vlasic with or without retention, he wouldn't waive anyway.

Can't see BOS wanting Kane:
28 (29 in Aug)
flat-cap world (maybe for 2-3 years yet to come)
US$7Mil per for another 5 yrs!
LW (they need a RW!)
Team-first culture not exactly in Kane's wheel-house...

The MEV trade you need 2 mil retention and to give them our first not take a first, Even then that probably a hard no

I could see the New Jersey grade possibly

Kane doesn’t fit what Boston needs and that’s not a fair return for him anyways Honestly he would fit well in Boston next to Eichel but that bridge is burned.

The burns trade.... I don’t know I’d have to hear from islander fans

100% no on Kane. He's not liked in Boston by the fans or the guys in the locker room.

Vlasic possibly has one of the worst contracts in the NHL, even with the retention. His contract pays him 7 mill until he's 39 years old and it's laughable that you think the sharks get a 1st and Appleton. The last thing the jets wanna do is lock in an aging Dman at that cap hit. What they should be doing is signing a vet or two on 1-2 year deals and allow their young kids to develop.

Yikes, looks like I accidentally put a 1st instead of a 3rd in the Winnipeg trade... corrected now
