-"Eichel for Kuznetsov in a one-for-one deal isn’t quite enough to make a trade happen" tears of joy
-"Conveniently, the Capitals have a third-line center who could be a No. 2 on many teams" Yup, lotsa teams out there who want to tank would love to have a 2C that, coming into this season, had a career high of 39 points.
-"Eichel’s youth probably would require a first-round pick to go to Buffalo in this trade. Washington would probably get a second-round pick in return. The final trade would shake out like this:" Moving from 36th OA to somewhere between 28-31 OA is what moves the needle here?

This Jack Dawkins fella that wrote this seems like an interesting cat: "Jack Dawkins is a freelance scout, analyst and avid watcher of "way too much hockey." He has joined The Hockey Writers team to cover all things New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild, Los Angeles Kings and Florida Panthers. He's an absolute data hound and loves using stats and analytics to calculate and extrapolate data for analysis." grimace

I saw and it doesn’t mean anything. In fact, we trade in a younger and more productive center, for the older and less productive, Eller and the late first in 2021 do nothing for us at all.

Jack Dawkins is a nobody in the hockey media world. He does not site any sources for this being a realistic trade proposal. This might as well be another ACGM post.

Eller was on a 50 point pace with Haglin and Panik as his wingers. Not saying I would be trilled with him as my 2c but with better wingers there's no reason he couldn't put up 50-60 points.. I didn't read the article but seems like a terrible deal for Buffalo...

I think that article made some sense and was a far far far more realistic trade for Eichel than 99% of what we see on here.

Lol. I think this article assures he will never work for a professional hockey team in any capacity.

Highest pace for Hagelins career was this year 46 point per 82 pace. Has never even actually reached 40 points in a season despite playing over 75 games 7 times in his career. Projecting him anywhere over 40 points in a season is a huge reach. Much more likely he regresses in the 30 - 35 point range at this point in his career

46 points playing on the 3rd line with Haglin who has no offensive ability and Panik who had a down year is pretty good. i don't believe he gets much powerplay time either. if Strome can be ppg player Eller could be a 50 point player. Strome had Panarin but Vrana and Wilson could boost his production. i don't think Eller is this elite center but in a pinch he could fill in nicely at 2c

Good, we can tell him to find a new career path. Unless he wants to be the new Eklund

You forgot that no one wants to play for Buffalo, including Eichel. Get ready for draft picks and players without NTCs.
