That's a hilariously bad hot-take. Girard is statistically the best transition Dman in the league, and as a 22 year old #2/3 Dman signed to a team-friendly 7 year deal his value is priceless to Colorado.

I really wish someone could tell all Montreal fans to stop making proposals for Girard, because they're all laughably bad. He's part of our core and equally as non-available as Rantanen, Landeskog, Mackinnon, and Makar.

might as well ignore it. At this point, these kind of fantasy trades won't stop showing up on AGM. Anything on AGM can be taken as a grain of salt or considered as "entertainment" (just like EA's NHL series of video games). If we expect every AGM trade to be the same as a top tier NHL architect would make then horrible/****ty GM wouldn't be given a second chance at turning around due to the abundance of great candidate for GM position.

I don’t think Hoffman would be a good signing. We will need that money to sign first Gallagher and Danault, and then also Tatar and Petry if we want to. Plus, Caufield might be ready to take the jump after next year.

I think Hoffman and Caufield can fill the same role. Shooters, on the wing so no point committing that many dollars and years to a player we already have internally. This would allow us to resign Gallagher and Danault while each giving them roughly 2-3M raise, plus a little left over
