pens will get a better return than that for Murray. also I doubt Detroit is very interested in him. They're still tanking

Hahaha even without Sid and goalies falling apart that might give habs one win in the series still giving it to pens in 4.

Defense has "many holes" yet we're ahead of Washington and St. Louis in expected goals against whilst having half our defense miss significant time due to injuries

If Jarry looked like a shell... why would he get $3M?

Winning #1 hardly seems like a nightmare. That's a better outcome than going out in the playin and not getting #1. It's even better than, yeah, better than winning the Cup.

Nightmare Scenario? this would be an absolute wet dream for the penguins. they have one of the worse prospect depth and they would get a generational player... they lose this year and probably win 2 in the next 4 years

A nightmare scenario would be they lose to Montreal, Sid is hiding something bad enough to retire him, they lose the draft lottery for #1 overall and take whatever mid-1st round pick their 2020 pick ends up being and then are bad enough without Sid next year that their unprotected 2021 1st round pick that goes to Minnesota somehow ends up being #1 overall. That's a nightmare scenario.

Losing to Montreal and drafting #1 overall is quite literally the 2nd best outcome behind the obvious best outcome of winning the Cup.

Theres a reason in the "NIGHTMARE" scenario. And bold words coming from the guy who posted a scenario where the penguins trade Laffy to your Canadians for peanuts of a return.

They are also dumping in that trade the horrid Bjugstad contract to free up over 4m in cap space.

I’m definitely not the only one who’s posted a half crappy AGM favouring my team. It’s what we do on CapFriendly, kid

Part of the reason why I put the word Nightmare in quotation marks below in the discription. Because while losing to Montreal in round 1 would be a bitter pill to swallow still get the best prospect to build towards the future.

As for Jarry getting 3m at that point with what happens after he looks like a shell. Team is desperate to retain him and just throws more money at him (And we cant say it wont be done cause... Johnson.... Pettersson the Pylon... the Reaves trade. Our GM can definitely make bad signings or trades.)

When did I say you were the only one? I said bold of you to criticize after having just posted it hours ago.

“Bold” isn’t quite the word I would use. Doing my job as a CF user by giving my opinion in forums, that is what I would use. I made a bad Laf trade. So sue me. I’m a Habs fan, I can’t help wishing that we get our hometown boy.

4.1m against a flat cap right now? Even though we got 13m of space to sign our own it is pretty bad. Especially since he has done next to nothing since the deal. McCann has saved that trade from being a bust.

Petterson the pylon? hes a very solid top 4 D and hes got room to grow only being 24. his signing was very fair. No complaints about him.

This is aging well. JJ and Schultz pulling down the top 4 like the lead bricks they are.

YIKES, Sid has at least looked good, but the goalies and defense have been putrid.

You seriously think the defense is the problem? We've scored 4 even strength goals the whole series. 4!!!! If Montreal hadn't taken like 20 penalties so far we'd be golfing right now

Mr. -3 and Schultz say yes. Yes it is the defense collapsing. Specifically the third pairing who have contributed to 5 of 7 goals against.

Well I can't disagree with you that Johnson and Schultz haven't played good at all this series, the stat I gave you about expected goals against during the regular season is still correct
