Description
Just some trades that I have seen, Detroit could potentially use the cap space to take on some contracts with the cap being flat for a few seasons.

Would rather not have to give up the 3rd with Hickey.

I’d definitely do the Arizona one. Islanders and Sabres trades look meh. TBL trade is awful.

I don’t understand the Buffalo one. Johansson is still young and had a great season in the AHL.

The Sabers trade is the only one I like. I also think trading for Gourde is a big mistake.

I'm not too familiar with him but judging on his stats alone, Buffalo would be stupid to make this trade. Helm is a solid bottom 6 forward that is solid on PK but he's nothing special. He's probably worth a 4th at the TDL with retained salary which I'm guessing is nowhere near Johansson's value.

Yeah. I like the Arizona one because as I've said before we badly need a 2C and Stepan could fill that role + we get a 1st round pick.

Yeah I don’t see Adams making a lot of moves this offseason.

And I agree that we shouldn't touch Gourde's contract. He's contract runs until 2025 and he's being payed over 5 mil as an average middle 6 forward. He could definitely bounce back but not enough to warrant that contract.

Arizona declines, Stepan is massively overpaid, but not that much of a deadweight.
