But the Leafs cannot afford a rental anyways, as the genius Kyle Dubas has given up two rental Ds in the last two seasons.

Nylander is only blamed by ignorant canadians fans because he is from Sweden. Everybody would love him if he'd be from Canada.

I got your logic but tradding him in MOntreal... you would need to pay more... Otherwise Anaheim will offer: Rakell, Larsson, 2nd for him... easily

But if Dubas is going to retool this offseason I do think nylander is the odd one out seeing he is on a more tradeable contract and his skill is more easily replaced. I could see him try and bring in a domi like player seeing he may want someone with a bit more physicality in his top 6.
