With how Kerfoot played in this series, I dont see Leafs trading him ever. Such a great penalty killer

All I can think is that if I'm ownership, trading Staal when the roster has shown to be competitive enough to be in the mix for postseason hockey is going to be a tough sell.

You finally just got Kaprizov to come over, and Strome might cover the bet as a quality #2C (I'm taking the under on this personally). If Kahkonen proves to be an upgrade to Dubnyk, this roster is comfortably competing with Nashville for the #3 spot in the Central.

Nor do I think that deal does Toronto any favour, the cap savings are minimal.

Let's assume Minnesota adds either Gunler at #15 or Foerster at #24 based on where Pittsburgh lands, and Barron with the second round pick (someone always slides) to a prospect group already featuring the freshly drafted Lundell, Boldy, Khovanov, and Warren. Nevermind that you've added Bellows for essentially free. The basis for long-term success is here, especially that Kaprizov is in the fold. I think the talk of an all-out rebuild needs to be extinguished in Minnesota. Remaining competitive until the prospects are capable of taking over, not just graduating, is going to be key in keeping Minnesota a prime contender in the Central for the next decade+.

Isles say yes. I like that a lot for both teams.

Islanders get a versatile forward and save cap. Wild get a goal scoring prospect and a couple of picks along with a bad contract. I think Bellows would do great on the Wild.

I'm ok with all of this.
Don't love Strome so if Rangers don't want to deal, no problem.
I doubt the Leafs take that deal, but maybe.
Really like the Islanders deal.
Keep Anas in the AHL he isn't a NHL'er and hold onto Rask so his buyout isn't sitting on the books for 4 more years.

I think if it's a 2020 2nd, it's a definite yes from the Rangers. Really hope Fiala and Kaprizov click, that could be an exciting duo, hopefully even enough to make the Wild less boring
