I think it’s a good concept, fair for both sides, but I’d rather marner and I bet the isles are the same way

I think Marner + Dermott for Pulock + NYI 1st next year (top-15 protected) would make more sense.

The Isles can't afford him and I'd rather keep Marner but that's just me.

They can't afford Marner and I'd rather hold onto him. Besides I'd want Beauviller coming back with Pulock if Marner was going the other way

Beauvillier is like 3rd liner on Leafs.

I don't think the Islanders can afford Nylander. But yes, I think the value is right

He'd replace Nylander on the PP though

Value-wise? Sure it's fair. As a hockey trade? Isles can't do it. We'd love Nylander, but if we lose Pulock our defense is screwed.

Well what could we do to get Pulock? I've got Dermott on this trade but forgot to sign him. He can play 2nd paring minutes.

Firefurx has a hard on to move Nylander (that's a mistake) moving Marner would be the smart move says 1 very loud statement by Dubus and that's we'll pay you but if you cannot carry this team you'll be gone - Marner is getting carry a team single hand win a series money

Beauvillier would put up 30 G , 60 pts in an offensive minded system.

NO PULOCK IS MORE ESSENTIAL THAN NYLANDER
NOW IF ITS MARNER WE MIGHT CONSIDER IT IF IT WAS NOT A FLAT CAP ERA

Not really. He was on a 22 G 47 pt pace in a system that stifles offense. He has a higher xGF% than Mikheyev and Johnson. He’s already a high end 2nd liner

Nothing. He's not going anywhere. Like I said, value-wise something around Nylander is fair (top-pairing defenseman for top-line forward), but I can't see any reason to trade Pulock. The only ridiculous thing I'd do that would only favor NYI is you took all our bad contracts (Ladd, Boychuk, Komarov) and gave us Nylander and Liljegren. But since what I'm asking is absolutely ridiculous and completely unrealistic, you should probably not even try getting Pulock.

its fair but Isles have no need for it. Pulock is one of those underated 2-way RHD. They really got nobody to replace him and with Barzels extension coming i think they would prefer to extend Pulock.

    Just piggy backing your thought.
Even if you thinkits ok value its not a deal the Islanders should make. Mayfield may play over 20 minutes a night but I wouldnt put him on the top pairing. Niether could you put Boychuk(injuries/age) or Dobson(lack of experience). Trading Pulock is not an option the Islanders can entertain this offseason or until Dobson can prove hes ready. The Islanders are better off looking to move Leddy for picks and improve from within.

I completely agree. If Dobson came into the NHL and all the sudden he was Alex Pietrangelo, I'd think about moving Pulock. And while Dobson has shown a ton of positives in his first season, he can't handle top-pairing minutes starting next year.

Basically, we'd have to trade Pulock and all our bad contracts, but also sign Pietrangelo or Barrie (to a cheap deal). Pulock is as close to elite as you can get without actually being elite. I'm not moving him so fast.
