Deep team Proposed swaps- not mine from others here

Created by: ecupirate07
Team: 2020-21 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 12, 2020
Published: Aug. 12, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Buffalo is looking for to shore up PK. Adding McGinn will do that. Take a defensive prospect that will be exempt. Original trade was McGinn and Fleury for Miller but that didnt make sense for us.

Car-Dallas deal. Gives us a better goalie now that is signed. The last 2 years will probably be less than ideal. With Askarov likely playing 30-40 times by then, the money will even out. We get a RH forward that is great on the PP, we need that with Williams retired. Pavelski is pricey but so is Nino and Dzingel. Pavelski can and will move up and down lineup as needed. He'll get a bunch of PP time with us.

NJ- gets their LHD and we get a RH power forward. The Trocheck, Svech, Palmeiri line would be very tough to play against. Palmeiri extension post expansion draft.

Expansion draft requirement looks a lot better with this lineup:
Forwards protected: Staal, Aho, Svech, Turbo, Trocheck, Pavelski, and the better of Foegele, and Geekie
exempt: Bokk, Cotton, Necas
exposed: Lorentz, Bishop, one of Foegele and Geekie
Defense protected: Slavin, Pesce, the better of Bean and Fleury
Exempt: AHL players
exposed: Vatanen, Bean/Fleury
Goalies protected: Bishop
exempt: Askarov, Eetu M., Koch
exposed: Helvig, Booth, Ned

Have had discussions oilers possible moved to 10 your drafting plans might be tossed out the window haha I’m just kidding. Good job
The only deal that stands out to me is that Dallas deal. I don’t follow Dallas closely so maybe there’s more to that then I know but hard to see them accepting.

That is straight from a dallas proposal. They may not and more importantly Pavelski may not. If we dont draft Askarov it doesnt kill the plan just makes the goalie situation a little murkier. Thanks for feedback.

No matter what you scored probably the easiest 13 overall pick in nhl history in the perfect draft congrats I couldn’t be more impressed with how Carolina handled that

    Question from NYR fan:
How do you value Haydn Fleury and what would it cost this offseason to deal him?

If his strong play continues in the playoffs, he would be the 2nd best LHD on the team.
