Something like this maybe? Discussion? 20 man rosters don't work, 21 man rosters don't work. Why would Pens do that deal?

Why would Edmonton be even remotely interested in trading the 14th overall pick for a third-line right wing? Kapanen was a horse's ass when elevated to top six minutes lmao

Compariable: Jean Gabriel Pageau got a 1st and 2nd. Similar stat lines and makes less. Gives McDavid a speed winger to play alongside.

Have a goalie problem so rumor is Murray is out, also read an article today that Letang time is coming to an end and see a trade this year for him. He's 33 and this might be his last contract as well.

At least PIT fans can now understand what CHI fans have been dealing with for months. TOR fans truly and innocently looking to solve their issues, but sending horrible offers.
AJ = cap dump.

I will say that on the surface...some kind of Freddie / Murray trade could be considered because TOR needs to solve a longer term issue while PIT really just wants a 1 year deal before Jarry can take over. Freddie + Robertson for Murray + Pierre-Olivier? Murray's value is without a doubt higher than Freddie's value. So the greater of the prospects needs to go to PIT. Although I do know TOR has solid D prospects...so maybe a Nathan instead? Can't be Poulin. Too close in value to Robertson...i could hear an argument it's higher than Roberston.

Pageau is 27 had 42 points this year, 19 last year, and 29 before that. $5 Mill Cap
Kapanen is 24 had 36 points, and 44 last year. $3.2 Cap

Similar Output, younger player, cheaper cap hit and faster

A grab-bag of overpriced stuff for Murray and Letang w/$2.5M retained.

Is this the start of a standup routine?

The article I saw mentioned that and was on the speculation of if it is one player out of there it would be him, which is where the idea for this came about. I wouldn't move letang if I didn't have to either

I just dont see it happening. If pens are trying to keep their contention window open, trading Letang is not the way they should go about it

HAHAAH

1. Andreas Johnsson isn't a cap dump. Your being hypocritical because all hawks fans do is innocently dump Maata for high picks.
2. Your joking with that robertson offer right? Lmao go to bed

14th overall + Neal (a must to make money work) for kerfoot (I honestly don’t even want) + Kap
I still don’t like it from oilers perspective but I think it’s a lot closer to making sense from oilers perspective that is. Not giving up that pick without addressing an area of need which i think kerfoot is a horrendously bad choice as a 3c for oilers but at least addressing it. The two of them is highly debatable worth the pick itself but if you want it no choice but to take Neal for the deal to go threw finically and I see no reason to like that package enough to consider any add from oilers perspective. I can understand why leafs wouldn’t be interested as well.

What's a high draft pick? 3rd rounders? They rarely make the NHL. Go back and look at just games played in the NHL for 3rd round picks. from 2010 - 2016 there have 34 players that played more than 100 games....7 years worth of drafts means that AFTER you wait 4 years for 3rd rounders to develop...there's only a 17% chance they become NHLers. I'd say that's VERY fair for an NHL player that fits what NJ needs.

You want to talk about a dillousonal fan base. Check out the link below. TOR fan legitimately believes AJ can replace Mike Hoffman for Florida.

He said that he is not actively looking to trade the core, but if offers come in he'll listen to them.

If Murray is out, Jarry will take the starting goalie spot. When pens will move a goalie, they won't be looking to get another one in return.

Maybe he's 33 but Letang still have a very good value, he's still playing top minutes and on 55-60pts pace. Dermott cannot replace him, Bracco has no value, and Johnsson isn't close to closing the gap
