There's no reason to shake things up by trading your best defenseman and forward to go into a rebuild. There's a reason Lou traded that 1st for Pageau. He sees that the window to compete is open and he's going for it. No need to acquire draft capital this way.

Boychuk at this point would be on Boston's 3rd pairing. Boston isn't going to add a 3rd pairing d-man for $3.6 to $4.2 million unless you're taking a bad contract back or giving up a solid asset.
