Not sure about the jets deal. Roslovic is probably the best player in the deal. Bowey was on waivers last year so I don't know his value

The Jets would have no interest in Bowey, so a different piece would need to be added.

Are we giving youngsters more time to develop?

Or are we trading them before they’ve had a chance to play. And selling low.
I’m confused.

Giving the younger players more time to develop does not mean playing them premium minutes on a team expected to collect less than 50 points in the standings.

Seider and Veleno should absolutely not see more than a 9-game stint in the NHL next season. I'd wager it wouldn't hurt Zadina to play with them in Europe either.

Zadina can likely comfortably play up if we are able to provide him with reasonable linemates. He might be on a 2nd line that plays like a 3rd, but that would allow him to grow his game.

Losing upwards of 50-60 games doesn't develop prospects. I've seen it.

If there's any hope of a two-way game, or him learning how to be clutch when it matters, it's not going to be found at the bottom of the NHL standings. Until Detroit can add some genuine quality players, they can't be rushing their prospects. It's the same thing Edmonton did, and look at the hell that franchise continues to be in.

The only way Zadina should be on this roster is if Yzerman has made moves such that Detroit is looking to finish in the realm of 10th next season and the next phase of the rebuild begins. If the goal is Aatu Raty, let him play with Veleno in Czechia.

but double Svechnikovs though. Maybe for a 4th rounder just so Andrei has his brother with him

But Zadina already played more than 9 games last year

Not worth it. Andrei wouldn't have his brother, Evgeny would be in Charlotte. I don't understand the draw of pairing brothers up. Evgeny isn't as good as Andrei, the assets aren't worth it to acquire E Svech

Means nothing. He's still on his ELC and can be loaned - in this case - to his home club in Trinec. I think the sample showed well, but I think the environment itself is detrimental to any prospect's development.

Bowey, Svechnikov, Rasmussen, Lindstrom, Hronek, and Cholowski are really the only justifiable "kids" that should be played on this roster. I'd personally be tempted into letting Rasmussen and Cholowski play elsewhere as well. Detroit is nothing shy of a boneyard for the time being.

Probably not worth the assets, but it'd be cool if he could make the roster someday

Yeah, Zadina has already been loaned, that’s already an open fact.
I brought up your 9 game comment bc since he’s already surpassed that plateau, his ELC won’t slide again.

Neither does the offense, and Fischer is very very good defensively
