Sorensen is the last player Toronto needs. Can't you tell 90% of Toronto posts have been moving Johnsson out. It's not cause he's a bad player... It's cause we don't have much cap space and because we already have too much LW.

Hyman, Mikheyev, Robertson, Barabanov is gonna be our left side plus we have Johnsson. Sorensen would be our #6 LW and isn't making league minimum.

Everything here is more than adequate, although I think Brassard asks for more $$.

But can I ask what people see in Killorn? He's not fast, he's not particularly young, he's not crazy skilled and his stats certainly have something to do with being on the best team in the league. I know he's a decent net front presence guy who can tip, but his shooting % is unsustainable high and I'm honestly just not that sure that he fits in here.

I can't see the Sharks giving up a 1st or 2nd this year unless it's to move up in the draft.

I also think it's an overpay for Killorn.

Patty and Jumbo are coming back at 1m and are going to be centered by another veteran center picked up in UFA. The AARP line will dominate.

TB fan, I’ve really liked him for a long time. Power forward plays a 200 foot game, plays pp pk, one of our best defensive forwards. Always puts up 40 plus points, is a team leader and in the last five years has missed 5 games. All that at 4.4 contract. Yes he had an exceptional year that will fall somewhat. But what is there not to like? A good skater that happens to fall down a lot. If you can’t skate you do not plays for the bolts.

I was surprised at how fast Gourde is, I never watched much Tampa games but he impressed me

Gourde has found his groove this playoffs. He was pushed to bottom line hit a 40 game slump. Never a bad attitude always gave 110 percent. He has a passion for the game, will take on any player even though he is only 5 9. Most of his goals come from in front of the net where he has no right to be. Happy for him.

Been on these boards all summer telling people Gourde is not negative value. I think the Lightning want to keep him over Johnson of the NTC players.

I think this is a underpayment for Killorn. He does everything good, PP, PK, 200 ft game, will give you 40 - 50 points, perfect power forward complimentary winger for your top 6 center. I hope the Lightning can keep him and trade others first but thats unlikely due to Killorns modified NTC.

Ok good to know. His appeal definitely makes more sense to me. Still not sure if he fits in here, but that definitely cleared things up so thanks.

I like him because his net-front presence is top notch, which would make him very valuable on a team with net bombers like EK65 and Burnzie. And he's tough. He also has a great contract, so that's v cool.

For the most part, I think this is a pretty good team. If we could get Talbot for a million less, and trade out Gambrell and sign someone for a tryout contract, like Leivo (providing he can stay healthy), then I think this would be a strong team.

Good post. He fills the Sharks #1 need which is a winger for Couture that has proven he can play the tough minutes and still contribute some offense. Last year, I think we were after Krieder to fill this role but the deal didn’t get done. That left Labanc, Gambrell, the ghost of Patty, and random Cuda call ups over their heads trying to do the job.
