I think this is a risky trade for CGY.
Tarasenko has injured the same shoulder how many times now. He played 14 games this year.
I think that is a bad sign, and not worth it.

I don't think either team does this trade. Vladimir Tarasenko is there first line right wing and I don't think they would trade him for a prospect, a fourth line center and two first round picks. I dont think the Flames would do this trade because Vladimir Tarasenko was out with injury since October 24th and has only played 4 games in playoffs where he got 0 points.

Getting 2 first rounders and the cap space to sign their captain (Pietrangelo) could be interesting to STL. Not saying the deal makes sense for CGY/STL, but just adding that little wrinkle about Pietrangelo. He’s pretty dang good. And Tarasenko has been struggling with that shoulder...who knows what’s wrong there and for how long.

There isn’t a team in any league that doesn’t want Tarasenko. The Blues are in a different position though where they need to make a really difficult decision about Pietrangelo. If they want to sign him, they have to move out a large chunk of cap. They wouldn’t be trading Tarasenko because they don’t want him...

he missed all season this year and he hurt his same shoulder in the playoffs that knocked him out the playoffs. Is he going to have to have surgery on that shoulder again. No one knows yet. But if he does he'll be out another 5 months and the season starts in December. AKA 2 seasons.
