I think this is just a way of saying his cap hit won't affect us. If Hank retires from NHL and goes to play in Sweden, which is just a rumor right now of course, there would be no cap penalty for us. I think people are putting Hank on LTIR as an alternative to just trading him for nothing just to get him off the AGM roster. Its more just to clear his money, not about actually suggesting he go on LTIR, I think. if that was english haha

He's not really. I don't think he's good at center, either, as a personal opinion. If some thing more appealing than a third was coming back, I'd probably make that trade for AZ.
