Don't think we can afford Marner, as we're trying to extend Dubois and save some space to extend Jones/Z next year. Nylander would be a fit, and I could see us putting together a package for him.

CGY, EDM and NJ balk big time. Your CLB value is good, but you're not giving them what they want in the Anderson trade. Maybe they'd bite for Kerfoot. I honestly don;t know what they'd say to the Korpi offer.

That is the thing. because Nylander has a good contract, it will cost a team kind of as much as Marner costs. (not quite, but close)

A good contract has value itself

Absolutely agree! Which is why Korpisalo (signed through 21-22 at $2.8M/yr) is such a highly-valued asset right now.

I would not jump on Korpisalo to be honest.

While I don't disagree with you, the Blue Jackets play with great structure and great attention to details. Both Korpisalo and Merzlikins look great there. So did Bobrovski

And look how Bobrovksi looks now with a team that is a shambles defensivly.

The Maple Leafs are more like the Panthers in that sense and not like the Blue Jackets.

Bob, Korpi and Elvis are all good goalies, but they are supported by their players and their coach.
