I don't see why the Senators would send a 3rd overall pick (SJS) and two 2nd rounders in a deep draft for the hope that Pittsburgh blows up next season. They would have to have a strong belief that the Pens would miss the playoffs plus win the lottery.

That doesn't mean that the Senators would trade a 3rd overall and two 2nds for what will probably be a late first rounder. In order for Minnesota to get a 3rd overall pick plus additional picks, they need to offer up something of close to equal value. The first round swap alone heavily favors Minnesota and then they still get two second round picks?

Just make a trade proposal involving either MacKinnon or McDavid. I'm sure the community will have some interesting feedback on that.
